"The biggest mistake my students make working with clients who have shoulder pain is not recognizing the signs and symptoms of tendonosis and coming to the mistaken conclusion that the problem is tendonitis. The solutions are very different and as a result, clients either improve very slowly or do not improve at all. Tendonosis has very unique features. If you are not familiar with it, you will easily fall into the trap of tendonitis treatments: ultrasound, cross friction, stretching, ice massage. The clients symptoms persist and you are left wondering what to do next. This course shows you how to know when you are dealing with tendonitis or tendonosis, and what to do," says Doug Kelsey, PT, PhD, Chief Physical Therapist of Sports Center in Austin, Texas.
In addition to learning about tendonitis and tendonosis, this course also covers post-operative rehabilitation for rotator cuff repair: where to start, how fast to go and the pitfalls to avoid.
Come To This Professional Seminar and Learn:
- The two types of impingement, how to differentiate them....and what drills to use.
- Why your choices to resolve tendonitis and tendonosis should be entirely different...and the most common mistake clinicians make.
- Detailed pathoanatomy and pathophysiology of the rotator cuff...and how this knowledge helps you predict recovery.
- Physical examination findings that are key to measuring success in clients with shoulder pain..and the exercises to use to change them.
- What questions to ask every client with shoulder pain....and what the answers mean.
- How to identify scapular dyskinesis...and how to know if you can resolve it.
- The one strength test that is a hidden key to rebuilding the shoulder...and how to know when you should test it.
- How to identify inflammation.... and the seven drug free interventions for it.
- How to determine when stretching the shoulder will be helpful...and when it will be harmful.
- A unique exercise technique that targets the rotator cuff....without ever moving the shoulder.
- Special shoulder rebuilding drills used by the Sports Center team.
- And much, much more!

"They care about helping people to heal, they all have a positive attitude and make clients feel comfortable. Most importantly, they have the knowledge, experience and skills to DO what they say they do: help people get better. Thanks for all of your support and encouragement.
Leslie Cromwell (Yoga Instructor)
To me it meant hope. After my surgery I thought I was never going to return to my normal exercise routine. The atrophy in my leg was down right scary for me. I felt improvement every week. The best part is the individual attention and knowing that everyone were a united front. Sports Center is in a league of its own. There is physical therapy and there is Sports Center. I would recommend Sports Center to everyone who wants quality results."
